How do you check and pay a Turkish tax debt online?
Viewing what you owe through the Digital Tax Office or e-Devlet, then settling it by card or bank account.

Short answer
Sign in to dijital.gib.gov.tr with your e-Devlet password, open the debt inquiry screen under the Sorgulamalar (Inquiries) menu on the left, and review what you owe. Then go to Borç Ödeme (Debt Payment), tick the item you want to settle, and finish the payment with a debit card, credit card or an account at a participating bank. Download the collection receipt at the end and keep it.
What you need
Step by step
Prepare your login credentials
The Digital Tax Office accepts an e-Devlet password, the user code and password combination issued by your tax office, an electronic signature or a mobile signature. Have whichever one you hold ready before you start. If you have no e-Devlet password yet, you can collect one from a PTT branch with your ID.
Sign in to the Digital Tax Office
Open dijital.gib.gov.tr in your browser and click the Giriş Yap (Sign In) button at the top right. Choose your authentication method on the screen that opens. If you prefer working from a phone, the same steps are available in the GİB Mobil app.
Check what you owe
After signing in, open the debt inquiry screen under the Sorgulamalar (Inquiries) heading in the left menu. Read the tax type, period and amount columns one by one, since late payment interest can appear as a separate line. If nothing is outstanding, you can also request a no-debt certificate through the Borcu Yoktur Yazısı service.
Open the payment screen
Switch to the Borç Ödeme (Debt Payment) section in the left menu and tick the tax item you want to settle. If you plan to pay only part of the balance rather than all of it, you can edit the amount field here before continuing.
Pick a payment method
Choose between paying by debit or credit card, paying from an account at a participating bank, or paying with a card issued abroad. If you picked a card, enter the card details and complete your bank's 3D Secure verification step to authorise the charge.
Confirm and save the receipt
Once the payment goes through, the result and the collection receipt appear on screen. Download the receipt as a PDF and store it somewhere safe. You can retrieve the same document later from the Ödemelerim (My Payments) or transaction history screen.
Use e-Devlet as an alternative
Go to turkiye.gov.tr and type vergi borcu in the search box to reach the Revenue Administration's inquiry and payment services. Motor vehicle tax and traffic fines sit under their own separate service headings there.
Tips
Watch out
Tax payments are only made through gib.gov.tr, dijital.gib.gov.tr, turkiye.gov.tr or a bank's own channels. Sponsored links in search results and payment links sent by SMS can be fake. Check the address bar and the gov.tr domain every single time, and never enter your card details on any other site.
Frequently asked questions
+Can I check my tax debt without a password?
Some items, such as motor vehicle tax and traffic fines, can be viewed through the Digital Tax Office's no-login inquiry screens. For any other tax debt you need to sign in.

Instalment availability depends on the bank and the type of tax. If no instalment option appears on the payment screen, the charge is single-payment only; ask your card issuer for details.

Even when the bank has collected the money, it can take a short while to appear in the records. Keep your receipt, check the screen again later, and contact your tax office if it does not clear.
