How do I download my Turkish tax certificate from e-Devlet?

View and print your tax certificate through the Revenue Administration's digital tax office instead of visiting a tax office in person.

Küçük bir iş yerinde dizüstü bilgisayarda resmi bir belgeyi inceleyen esnaf, yanında yazıcıdan çıkmış kâğıt duruyor.

Short answer

Paper tax certificates are no longer issued at tax offices in Turkey. The document is generated electronically in the Revenue Administration's Digital Tax Office (formerly the Interactive Tax Office). Search for "vergi levhası" on the e-Devlet portal, open the linked service, sign in with your e-Devlet password, then view the certificate under the query menu and save it as a PDF or print it.

What you need

Turkish ID number or tax identification number
An e-Devlet password, e-signature, mobile signature, or online banking login
A browser or app that can open PDF files
A printer, if you need to post the certificate at your workplace

Step by step

01

Choose your login method

The Digital Tax Office accepts an e-Devlet password, e-signature, mobile signature, online banking login, or your own tax office user code and password. The e-Devlet password is the simplest route, and you can pick one up from a PTT branch with your ID if you do not have one. For company filings you need the tax identification number and authorization for a legal-entity login.

02

Open the service from e-Devlet

Sign in at turkiye.gov.tr and type "vergi levhası" into the search box at the top. Selecting the Revenue Administration service redirects you to the agency's digital tax office screen. Following the "Dijital Vergi Dairesi" link from gib.gov.tr takes you to the same place.

03

Sign in to the Digital Tax Office

On the login screen, choose "e-Devlet ile Giriş" and complete the identity verification. Once the session opens, the taxpayer record registered to you or your company appears at the top of the screen. If you hold more than one registration, confirm here which record you are working on.

04

Find the tax certificate menu

Open "Sorgulamalar" or "Sorgulama ve Öğrenme" in the left menu and select "Vergi Levhası". On some screens the same document sits under "Belgelerim" or "Belge Görüntüleme". Menu names change over time, so typing "levha" into the search field at the top also gets you straight there.

05

View and download the certificate

Pick the relevant period and press "Sorgula" or "Görüntüle". The document opens on screen as a PDF, so use the download icon to save it to your computer and "Yazdır" to print a copy for your workplace. The same saved PDF is valid if you need to email it to someone.

06

Check the details on the document

Read through the PDF and confirm your name or company title, tax identification number, registered tax office, and business activity details are correct. The verification code or QR code on the document lets third parties confirm its validity against the agency's system. If anything is wrong, submit a correction request to your registered tax office.

07

Contact support if the document will not load

An empty result usually points to your taxpayer registration, a pending declaration, or a system update. Call the Revenue Administration's Tax Communication Center or visit your registered tax office to check the status. If you work with an accountant, a licensed professional can also generate the certificate from their own authorized screen.

Tips

Save the downloaded PDF with the date and period in the file name so you do not mix up which certificate is current in later years.
For lease agreements, tenders, or bank applications, most institutions accept a printout of the electronic certificate rather than a wet-signed copy, but confirm with them beforehand.
If you are a shareholder or director, your personal login will not show the company certificate; you need a separate legal-entity login with the tax identification number.
On mobile, the Revenue Administration's official app reaches the same query screen and lets you download the PDF to your phone.
No e-Devlet password? The online banking login option works with most banks, so you can start a session without visiting a branch.

Watch out

Never enter your ID or password details on third-party sites that charge a fee for tax certificate lookups. The document is free and available only through the Revenue Administration's own addresses and the e-Devlet portal, so do not type anything into a screen where you cannot see the official domain in the address bar.

Frequently asked questions

+Do I still need to visit a tax office for my tax certificate?

No. The certificate is generated electronically and downloaded from the digital tax office. A visit is only needed when there is an error in your details or a problem with your taxpayer registration.

+Am I required to display the tax certificate at my workplace?

The certificate has to be kept somewhere visible at the business premises. Printing the PDF you downloaded is enough, and no certified copy is required.

+Can my accountant get it on my behalf?

Yes. A licensed professional you have authorized can view your certificate from their own account and send it to you as a PDF.

+What should I do if the query returns an empty result?

There is usually something missing in your taxpayer registration or declaration status. Call the Tax Communication Center or ask your registered tax office to check the state of your record.

+Can I look up someone else's tax certificate?

You can confirm a certificate's validity using the verification code or QR code printed on it, but you cannot view another taxpayer's certificate from your own account.
