How do you get a military status certificate in Turkey?

Short answer
The fastest route is the e-Devlet portal. Sign in at turkiye.gov.tr, type "Askerlik Durum Belgesi Sorgulama" into the search box, open the service, and save or print the barcoded PDF. If you cannot sign in to e-Devlet, take your ID card to the recruitment office (askerlik şubesi) you are registered with and collect a signed, stamped copy in person.

Sign in to e-Devlet
Open turkiye.gov.tr and click the "Giriş Yap" button in the top right. On the "e-Devlet Şifresi" tab, log in with your ID number and password. If you have no password, you can pick one up at a PTT branch, or sign in with an e-signature, mobile signature, or internet banking instead.
Find the service through the search box
Type "Askerlik Durum Belgesi" into the search box at the top and pick the "Askerlik Durum Belgesi Sorgulama" service listed under the Ministry of National Defence. You can also reach it through the "Askerlik ve Silahlanma" category. The same search works in the e-Devlet mobile app.
Check the details on the certificate
When the service opens, the screen lists your name, ID number, and military status details. Confirm that everything matches your ID exactly. Whatever wording appears in your record, such as deferred, exempt, or completed, should be the wording the requesting institution expects.
Download or print the PDF
Use the "Belge Oluştur" or "PDF İndir" button at the bottom of the page to save the barcoded document. This printout is enough unless the institution insists on a wet signature, because the barcode and verification code can be confirmed through e-Devlet. Uploading the file to the institution's own portal is safer than emailing it.
Verify the document if asked
If the receiving institution wants to confirm the document is genuine, it only needs to enter the barcode number into the "Belge Doğrulama" service on the e-Devlet home page. You can run that check yourself and attach a screenshot of the verification screen. That usually removes the need for further correspondence.
Visit the recruitment office if e-Devlet is not an option
If you cannot use the portal, or the institution requires a stamped original, apply in person with your ID card at the recruitment office you are registered with. Staff check your status in the records and hand over a signed and stamped document. If you are abroad, you can make the same request at a Turkish consulate.

The military status certificate reflects your record at the moment it was queried, so an older printout becomes invalid if your status changes. Never edit the details or tamper with the PDF; barcode verification exposes forgery immediately and carries criminal liability.

Yes. The document is barcoded and verifiable, so most institutions accept the e-Devlet printout. Only bodies that insist on a wet signature and stamp need the copy issued by the recruitment office.
+Can women get a military status certificate?
Women have no military service obligation, so no military status record is created for them. If an institution asks for the document, explain the situation and, if needed, request an information letter from the recruitment office.
+Can someone else obtain the document on my behalf?
e-Devlet access is personal, so nobody else can get it without your password. For a copy from the recruitment office, a power of attorney or another authorisation document the office accepts is required, so check with them first.
