How do you get a student enrollment certificate in Turkey?
Generate a barcoded student certificate yourself on e-Devlet, or request a wet-signed copy from your school.

Short answer
Sign in at turkiye.gov.tr with your e-Devlet password or ID card, then type "Öğrenci Belgesi" in the search box. Higher education students pick the YÖK student certificate service; secondary school students pick the MEB e-Okul service. Press "Belge Oluştur" and download the barcoded PDF. If a wet signature is required, apply to your student affairs office.
What you need
Step by step
Set up a login method
You need at least one verification tool to enter e-Devlet: an e-Devlet password from a PTT branch, a mobile signature, an e-signature, a Turkish ID card, or internet banking with a partner bank. If you have never used your password, the system asks you to change the temporary one in the envelope on first login.
Sign in to e-Devlet
Open turkiye.gov.tr in a browser and press "Giriş Yap" at the top right. On the "Kimlik Doğrulama Sistemi" screen, choose your method and enter your details. The e-Devlet mobile app does the same job if you prefer your phone.
Find the student certificate service
Type "Öğrenci Belgesi" in the search box at the top. University, vocational school, and graduate students should choose the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) student certificate query service. High school and primary school students should choose the Ministry of National Education service fed by e-Okul.
Generate and download the document
The service screen lists your registered school, programme, and enrollment status. Check the details, then press "Belge Oluştur" or "Barkodlu Belge Oluştur". Save the prepared PDF with "İndir"; in the mobile app the file also lands in the "Belgelerim" section.
Verify the barcode
The barcode and verification code on the document prove it is genuine. Enter the code in the "Barkodlu Belge Doğrulama" service on e-Devlet and confirm the document reads correctly yourself. That way there are no surprises when the receiving institution checks it.
Ask the school for a wet-signed copy
Some institutions still want a stamped and signed document. At university, log in to the student information system and use "Belge Talebi" or "Öğrenci Belgesi Talebi"; if the option is missing, petition the Student Affairs Directorate, or the school administration for high school. Someone else can collect it with a power of attorney.
Ask which format is accepted
Ask the institution requesting the document whether the PDF, a printout, or only a wet-signed copy counts. Accepted formats differ for military service deferral, scholarships, discounted transit cards, and visa applications. If you are sending it by email, putting your name and school in the file name makes things easier.
Tips
Watch out
Having a student certificate "arranged" through a paid website or a contact counts as document forgery and is a criminal offence. Never share your e-Devlet password either: anyone or any site asking for it on the pretext of downloading a document is a scammer.
Frequently asked questions
+Is the student certificate from e-Devlet officially valid?
Because it is barcoded and verifiable, most public institutions and companies accept it. Even so, check in advance whether the requesting institution insists on a wet signature.
+I did not renew my enrollment. Can I still get the certificate?
If active student status does not appear, the system will not produce a document. Once student affairs corrects your enrollment record, the service generates the certificate again.
+Can I download my high school child's certificate from my own account?
In Ministry of National Education services, a parent can reach their child's education records from their own e-Devlet account. If nothing shows, ask the school administration to register the parent link.
+I do not have an e-Devlet password. What should I do?
Take your ID to a PTT branch and collect an e-Devlet password envelope. Alternatively, you can log in with a Turkish ID card, a mobile signature, or a partner bank's internet banking.
+How many times can I generate the document?
The service lets you regenerate the certificate whenever you need it, and each copy gets a new barcode. Handing in the current version rather than an old one is safer.
