How do you book a hospital appointment through MHRS?

Book your own state hospital or family physician appointment using the MHRS website or mobile app in Turkey.

Kanepede oturan bir kadın telefonundan randevu alıyor; sehpada kimlik kartı, çay bardağı ve dizüstü bilgisayar duruyor.

Short answer

Sign in to MHRS with your e-Devlet credentials, open "Randevu Al" (Book Appointment), pick the province, district, clinic and hospital, then choose an available doctor and time slot and confirm with "Randevu Al". The booking appears under "Randevularım" (My Appointments) and arrives by SMS. If you prefer the phone, call the ALO 182 line.

What you need

Turkish ID number and e-Devlet password (or mobile signature, e-signature, or internet banking login)
A phone or computer with an internet connection
The MHRS mobile app (Android or iOS) or the mhrs.gov.tr website
The mobile number registered with MHRS, for confirmation texts

Step by step

01

Sign in to MHRS

Go to mhrs.gov.tr or open the MHRS mobile app and tap "Giriş Yap" (Log In). Choose "e-Devlet ile Giriş" (Log in with e-Devlet) and verify your identity with your ID number and e-Devlet password. On a first login you may be asked to update your contact details, so enter your mobile number correctly since appointment texts go there.

02

Choose the appointment type

Open "Randevu Al" (Book Appointment) on the home screen. You will see options such as "Hastane Randevusu" (Hospital Appointment), "Aile Hekimi Randevusu" (Family Physician Appointment) and "Ağız ve Diş Sağlığı" (Oral and Dental Health). For a state or training and research hospital, select "Hastane Randevusu".

03

Set province, district and clinic

Fill in "İl" (Province), "İlçe" (District) and "Klinik" (Clinic) in order. The clinic list shows medical specialties, so pick the one that matches your complaint; if you are unsure, consider seeing your family physician first for a referral. Leaving the district empty lists every facility across the province, which gives you more options.

04

Pick the facility and doctor

Once the filters are applied, the "Kurum/Hastane" (Facility/Hospital) list opens. Selecting a hospital reveals its doctors and their available days. If you want a specific physician, choose the name under "Hekim" (Doctor); otherwise "Tüm Hekimler" (All Doctors) finds the earliest free slot.

05

Select a time and confirm

Pick a day from the calendar and the free time slots for that day appear below. Tap a suitable slot and finish with the "Randevu Al" button. Check the hospital, clinic, doctor and time on the confirmation screen; once the booking is saved, a summary appears and an informational SMS reaches your phone.

06

Track or cancel the appointment

You can view your booking under "Randevularım" (My Appointments). If you realise you cannot attend, use the "İptal Et" (Cancel) button on the same screen, because skipping a visit without cancelling can lead to restrictions in MHRS. To change the time, cancel first and then book again.

07

Prepare for the hospital visit

Arrive before your appointment time and bring your ID. Most hospitals issue a queue ticket from a kiosk using your ID, while some send you straight to the clinic secretary. Bring earlier test results and a list of the medications you take, if you have them.

Tips

The MHRS app also has sections such as "Nöbetçi Eczane" (On-Duty Pharmacy) and nearest health facility, useful for deciding where to go in non-urgent situations.
If no slots show for the specialty you need, remove the district filter to search the whole province, or check again in a few days since cancelled appointments return to the system.
For a relative without internet access, appointments can be booked by phone through the ALO 182 MHRS call centre, which requires that person's Turkish ID number.
Some advanced specialties and diagnostic tests are not directly bookable in MHRS; in that case you first visit the relevant clinic and get a referral from the doctor.
If you think you will miss your slot, cancel without delay so the freed time opens up for another patient.

Watch out

If you neither attend nor cancel your appointment, MHRS records it as a missed appointment, and after a certain number of these your right to book new appointments is restricted for a period. Cancel from the "Randevularım" screen as soon as you know you cannot go.

Frequently asked questions

+Is an e-Devlet password required for an MHRS appointment?

Login requires e-Devlet identity verification. If you have no password, you can get one from a PTT branch, or sign in with a mobile signature, e-signature, or the internet banking of a participating bank.

+Do I need an MHRS appointment in an emergency?

No. Emergencies need no appointment: go straight to the nearest hospital emergency department or call 112. MHRS is for planned outpatient visits.

+Can I book an appointment for someone else?

You can add relatives to your own MHRS account, or call ALO 182 and create the appointment using that person's Turkish ID number.

+Can I change my appointment time?

There is no direct time change. Cancel the existing appointment under "Randevularım" and book again for the new day and time you want.

+Are family physician appointments booked in the same place?

Yes. On the "Randevu Al" screen choose "Aile Hekimi Randevusu" and the available slots of the family physician assigned to you are listed.
