How do you cancel a passport appointment and change its date?
How to cancel your Civil Registry passport appointment through e-Devlet and book a new day and time in its place.

Short answer
Sign in to e-Devlet, type "Randevu" in the search box and open the appointment service of the General Directorate of Civil Registration and Citizenship. Find your passport appointment under "Randevularim" and use "Iptal Et". There is no separate reschedule button, so you change the day and time by booking a fresh appointment on the same screen right after cancelling.
What you need
Step by step
Sign in to e-Devlet
Go to turkiye.gov.tr and press the "Giris Yap" button at the top right, then log in through one of the tabs: e-Devlet Sifresi, Mobil Imza, e-Imza, T.C. Kimlik Karti or Internet Bankaciligi. Cancelling is tied to your identity, so there is no way to continue without signing in.
Open the appointment service
Type "Randevu" in the search box at the top and pick the appointment service belonging to the General Directorate of Civil Registration and Citizenship. You can reach the same screen at randevu.nvi.gov.tr by logging in with e-Devlet.
View your appointment list
Once the service opens, switch to the "Randevularim" or "Randevu Sorgulama" section. It shows which civil registry office your active appointment belongs to, the day and time, and that the transaction type is a passport. Make sure you have selected the right record.
Cancel the appointment
Press "Iptal Et" on the row for that appointment and confirm the action in the dialog that appears. Do not leave the page before you see the message saying the cancellation went through; a notification message usually arrives as well.
Pick a new day and time
On the same service screen, move to "Yeni Randevu Al", choose passport application as the transaction type, then select the province, district and civil registry office. Mark one of the days shown as open in the calendar, pick a free time slot and confirm.
Verify the new appointment
Print the summary screen that appears at the end or save a screenshot, then refresh the "Randevularim" list and check that only one active record remains. This check confirms that both the cancellation and the new booking really landed in the system.
Use the alternative channels
If you cannot complete the process online, call the Civil Registration and Citizenship call centre on ALO 199 or go to the civil registry office where you booked, and pass on your cancellation and rebooking request. On the phone you will be asked for your Turkish ID number to verify your identity.
Tips
Watch out
If you neither attend nor cancel, the system records you as a no-show and you may be blocked from booking a new appointment for a while. Always cancel when you change your mind, and remember that closing the screen before the confirmation message appears is the most common mistake that leaves the appointment active.
Frequently asked questions
+Can I change only the time of my appointment?
There is no standalone option to change just the time. You have to cancel the existing appointment and then pick another free slot, which can still be on the same day.
+Do I get my paid fee back for a cancelled appointment?
Cancelling an appointment does not cancel your payment; the fee and booklet charge stay registered in your name and are used for the new appointment. A refund needs a separate application to the tax office.
+Will my appointment be cancelled if I am a few minutes late?
For short delays the civil registry office usually shifts you in the queue and still serves you, but that is not guaranteed. If you realise you will be late, call the office and let them know.
+Where do I cancel a passport appointment booked through PTT?
If you applied through PTT, send your cancellation or change request via the PTT appointment screen or the relevant PTT branch; civil registry appointments are held in a separate system.
+Can I cancel someone else's appointment?
From your own account you can only manage appointments for yourself and for children under your custody. Another adult must use their own e-Devlet login, or you need a power of attorney.
