How do you book an ID card renewal appointment?
Steps for booking a civil registry office appointment through e-Devlet to renew a Turkish ID card.

Short answer
Log in to the e-Devlet Kapısı portal and type "Nüfus Müdürlüğü Randevusu" into the search box. Open the service, pick the ID card application as the transaction type, then choose your province, district and registry office. Select an open day and time slot and confirm; the appointment details arrive by SMS and as an e-Devlet notification.
What you need
Step by step
Log in to e-Devlet
Go to turkiye.gov.tr and press the "Giriş Yap" button in the top right. On the identity verification screen choose one of the tabs: e-Devlet Şifresi, Mobil İmza, e-İmza, T.C. Kimlik Kartı or İnternet Bankacılığı, and finish the verification. The appointment service only opens for verified users.
Find the appointment service
Type "Nüfus Müdürlüğü Randevusu" into the search box at the top and click the result. You can also reach the same service through the "Kurumlar" menu by opening the General Directorate of Civil Registration and Nationality page and browsing its service list. On the page that opens, use the "Yeni Randevu" section.
Choose the transaction type
From the transaction list select the option that matches an ID card application; expired, worn, lost and changed-details cards may have separate rows. If you pick the wrong type, your appointment can be rejected at the counter. If you are handling the process for a relative rather than yourself, select the relevant person here too.
Pick the registry office
Fill in the province and district fields, then select the registry office you want to visit from the list. You are not limited to the office where your address is registered; every unit shown in the list can be selected. If busy central offices have no slots, try neighbouring districts.
Confirm the day and time
Click one of the days shown as open in the calendar and pick a suitable time slot for that day. Check the details, then press "Randevu Al" or "Onayla". Note the appointment number on the confirmation screen; the record also arrives by SMS and as an e-Devlet notification.
Prepare documents and payment
Before the appointment, have your biometric photo taken and pay the ID card fee at a tax office, a partner bank or through the payment step in e-Devlet. Card production does not start until the payment is made. For a lost card, a name change and similar cases, add any extra documents the office asks for.
Attend and track delivery
Arrive at the office a little before your slot, take your queue number and give your fingerprint and signature sample at the counter. At the end you receive a temporary document or an application printout. Confirm at the counter where the card will be delivered: your address, PTT or the office itself.
Cancel or change the appointment
If your plans change, open the record under "Randevularım" on the same service page and cancel or update it. Unused appointments stay active in the system and can block you from booking a new one. A slot you cancel becomes available to someone else.
Tips
Watch out
Skipping the ID card fee before the appointment is the most common mistake: if the payment does not show up, your application is not accepted and you have to book a new slot. Appointments booked under the wrong transaction type can also be turned away at the counter.
Frequently asked questions
+Can I go to the registry office without an appointment?
Some offices accept walk-ins with a queue number, while others serve appointment holders only. The safest approach is to call the specific office and confirm its practice before going.
+What happens if I miss my appointment time?
The appointment lapses and no transaction is carried out. You then have to pick a new day through the "Nüfus Müdürlüğü Randevusu" service on e-Devlet; if you know you will be late, cancel in advance.
+My ID card is lost. Can I use the same appointment service?
Yes, you just tick the option for a lost or missing card in the transaction type list. The office may take an extra statement at the counter, so bring any other identity document you have.
+Can I book an appointment for someone else?
In some cases you can create appointments for family members from your own e-Devlet account. Without that authorisation, the person must book from their own account or a power of attorney is needed.
+How will my new card reach me?
The card is sent to your address or collected from the office, depending on the delivery method you chose during the application. Ask at the counter about the delivery option and how to track it.
